Time No Reason established their reputation as original songwriters and performers right from the start. Their critically acclaimed first release,"The Clock Stops Here," prompted Lee Barrish of SCENE magazine to say these guys just might carve out their own niche and get snapped up by a major label. You can dance or you can listen, but there is no sitting in the corner when TNR cranks up their original power pop sound. Time No Reason can be seen playing Akron, Cleveland, Columbus, and Kent as well as on the road in venues in Buffalo, Detroit, and elsewhere throughout the East and Midwest. Time No Reason performs their own material but also covers many of their influences when performing on the college circuit including: Third Eye Blind, Foo Fighters, Live, Our Lady Peace, Radiohead, Collective Soul, REM, Spacehog, U2, Weezer, and others. Buffalos ART VOICE described Time No Reasons guitar-driven sound as, laden with artistic textures. This Ohio quintet has a hard edge, but finds a way to let the music shine through. Laura DeMarco, of the CLEVELAND FREETIMES described the bands sound as heavy, alternative pop-rock, a Midwestern amalgam of the Dave Matthews Band, Live and the Foo Fighters. The Akron's West Side Leader described lead singer Christopher OConnell's vocals as "hot, gritty, and ready to rock." Guitarists Sean Larson blends style and strong melodies to deliver a fresh sound that still fits soundly into todays modern rock and adult alternative radio formats. The rhythmic, driving percussion work of drummer Bill Gans and the melodic lines of bassist Anthony Sterns provide an energized foundation to the groups solid, full sound. Time No Reason has been successful in achieving widespread airplay. They have been broadcast in Massachusetts, Michigan, New York, New Jersey, North Carolina, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Virginia, Wisconsin, and in England.
